Here you can download various games I've that cooked up over the years. I try to make stuff that's simple to pick up, fun to play, and lightweight so it'll run even on old computers. If you'd like to see something added or changed (or even if you just found these to be a good way to kill time), please feel free to shoot me an E-mail. I thrive on feedback!

Captain Hero: Operation Key Lime

(Screenshot) Captain Hero is a funny, old-school action-adventure game that sends up spy movies with its proverbial tongue more than a little in cheek. Our hero makes his way through a secret fortress in Vladistachenburgistanistein to save the world from a terrible secret that involves world domination, mass destruction, and chamomile tea. Along the way, he solves feindish puzzles, fights nasty villians, and makes his way through an Evil Henchman Outsourcing Center. (There's also a gambling minigame and a relatively faithful Super Mario Brothers knockoff inside the game.) It was created using Epic Megagames' classic ZZT, which you'll need to play the game.

Teaser Page: here
Download: First, grab zzt.zip (179 KB) and extract it to a folder somewhere. Then, put capthero.zzt (268 KB) in that folder and run ZZT. Hit the W key and choose "CAPTHERO" from the menu that pops up. (Or if you don't feel like hitting W every time you want to play the game, put this version of zzt.cfg (22 bytes) in your ZZT folder and you'll be set. Right-click the link and hit "Save Link as..." if you have problems.) Good? Good!

Motorbiker v. 0.8

(Screenshot) I've been working on this little game on-and-off for about eight years now... it's come a long way, although I have loads of ideas that haven't made it into the game yet. Think of a competitive two-player shoot-em-up with motorcycles and configuration options out the wazoo, and you'll have the idea. It should work with versions of Windows from 95 on. If you don't have a recent version (say, after 2000 or so), you may need to grab msvbvm50.dll here and put it in the same folder as the game. New in version .8: Several bug fixes (e.g. bikes never "stick together" after crashing and using the Tab key on the "Custom Game" screen works better), nicer shield icons, and some hidden experimental stuff. On the "Custom Game" screen, you enable experimental options bylicking on the space to the right of the "Cancel" button. There are translucent clouds and a goofy slime animation on there, but they flicker way too much for my liking. I also reduced the file size by about 100k, for what it's worth.

Rockman Nova v. 0.5

(Screenshot) I've been working with a message board-based team on a Mega Man fangame. After several months of work, we've come up with a relatively polished platformer, complete with great original sprites and music. If you hit up our message board, you'll find even more content that hasn't made it into the game yet: a storyline, concept art, music, and more. It's still far from finished (this demo only has one level) and the board's been pretty quiet lately, so as I've said before: if you want to play it, come and help us make it! More info about this particular version of RMN is available here. It does require a 3D card (even a very low-end one will do).

Foodball II v. 0.6.8

(Screenshot) This is one of those little cannon games that are everywhere. You might have played one before: aim the cannon at the other player by adjusting the angle and force of the cannon. The game is pretty simple so far (there's no wind or anything like that) but it's still fun and challenging. If you're running an older version of Windows, you may need to grab msvbvm50.dll and put it in the same folder as the game. (And yeah, in case you're wondering, I did make a Foodball 1 a while ago, but it was embarrisingly bad and I have no plans to put it online). New in version .6.8:Faster drawing and more bugfixes than you could imagine.

Space Person! v. 1.0

Screenshot This game for the TI-83(+) graphing calculator (yeah, roll your eyes if you want) features a bundle of fully graphical, line-dodging fun as well as a 10-slot high-score table, "nice" pausing, integrated instructions, and general coolness. This program is also available here at ticalc.org.

Download: spaceperson.zip (Includes versions for TI-83 and TI-83+, as well as a readme and some screenshots for your viewing pleasure).

Lines!

Screenshot This is a TI-83 program I threw together a little while back. It randomly draws lines on the screen for a while. Eventually, it clears the screen, and it's starts drawing lines again. It's really simple, but it's kinda nice to stare at if you're bored.
